Felt Tissue Case

I made a super cute felt tissue case for a birthday gift. It holds one small travel pack of tissues.

What you will need:
Felt - cut to 6 3/4" x 5 7/8"
Embroidery floss
Small scrap of fusible interfacing (optional)
Sewing machine with coordinating thread (optional)

Cut the felt to size. I then freehand embroidered all the flowers and butterflies onto the felt. I just added flowers and butterflies until I felt like the design was complete. You could add embroidery to the bottom half of the opening if you wanted as well. Since you would be pulling tissues in and out of this, I used a piece of fusible interfacing on the back of my embroidery so no stitches would come loose.

Fold the short ends to meet in the middle with your embroidery facing out. Sew the edges using a 1/2 inch seam allowance. Cut your raw edges with pinking shears.

I got the basic design from Martha Stewart.
